Using Strobe Lights to Repel Rodents
The use of strobe lights to deter rodents from entering an attic or crawl space has been proven effective with our customers. Strobing lights are generally considered the safer alternative compared to using toxic pesticides and poisons in your home. The strong strobing effect chases rodents out. Customers have reported rodents attempting to enter the area a couple of more times until they finally leave for good. Here is a story from another satisfied user of our rodent deterrent strobe light. One year ago I was between renters. The previous renter had told me that the furnace was acting a little wonky, but was operating. My wife and I would check on the house daily and the furnace was working. No noticeable wonkiness when I was checking it out. But, just in case something happened, I shut the water off. Then, on one of the coldest nights, the furnace failed to ignite and the temperature dropped well below zero. My wife and I didn’t get a chance to check on the rental until the next afternoon, but we were too late. The damage included freezing and breaking the shut off valve (I knew that), the water meter (the city charged me $150.00 for that, $100.00 for the new meter and a $50.00 fine for “letting it freeze and break”), the pressure regulator, the kitchen faucet, the shower faucet and every PCV plastic water line. If there was a bright side here, Jack Frost didn't freeze the water heater (which was electric and not turned on), the toilet, the washing machine or the bathroom faucet. The HVAC/plumbing Company charged $1500.00 to replace the two frozen faucets, replace all the frozen and cracked plastic water lines with PEX tubing and made repairs to the furnace. I feel this was a fair price considering it took two men two days plus the new faucets and other parts. After this large expense, I researched the available temperature warning lights on the market prior to the purchase of the FZ-5 Freeze Flash. I set the switch to “Flash” mode, installed 2 D cell batteries, rotated the dial on the thermostat and the unit began to flash. It is very bright and should get the neighbor's attention, or mine when I drive by.This Freeze Warning flasher alerted me to another furnace failure two years later from my first review. I was able to place space heaters in my empty rental house to save the water lines and other parts from freezing, being able to call the repair man and saving myself from another $1650.00 bill in repairs! Great product! If you have a property you need to keep an eye on if temperature changes will be an issue, this is the product to buy! Here is some additional news. I lost the control knob for the thermostat. I contacted the company via email from their website, told them my problem and left my phone number and address. I received a phone call from the company! Can you believe it? Real people at a company who will call you back and take care of you!View our entire rodent deterrent series here
